Artistic Statement
For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to learn as much as I can about as many things as possible. I am an investigator, an analyst, and an explorer. When I fell in love with movement and began to discover all the ways that it could feed me creatively, I found something with endless possibilities for the investigation that I love. I work from a place of curiosity, exploration, and play in my artistic practice. It is important to me to be open and welcome the unknown. I particularly draw inspiration from the natural world and my interest in the human psyche, especially as it relates to community and social structures. My artistic process often involves a lot of research, discussion, and contemplation. I throw myself completely into what I am doing and give myself over to the work until I feel like I have entered a new world that I get to play in. I strive to keep sharing my love, my passion, and my discoveries with others, and to inspire them to never stop seeking out new experiences.
